Our sport needs promoted. Which isn't being done with all the studio chat. Euro team champs had great coverage on the bbc covering loads of competitors through all events, but the bbc had to buy into the coverage, their own cameras weren't there. The Sainsbury's annversary games coverage was a complete turn off with all the boring chat. Athletics on the bbc must be the only televised sport which has more chat than action.

The cameras follow the game in football or rugby with commentary all the time - pundits at half time and post match - so why not the same for track and FIELD !!!

I have been chasing the BBC for years about this subject without success. However, to-day I have emailed the BBC trust. Hope something might happen ?.

All athletics put in the same hard work and dedication so deserve to be given the same exposure and opportunity as the runners. They have been discriminated against for far to long.

I saw two high jumps at the London Anniversary Games... Shocking! We don't need to see the entire length of the long distance races when you can simply divert focus to the field events for a couple of seconds!!!

It's a disgrace that field events get little to no airtime when they can be the most exciting events!! Sort it out bbc

The BBC would rather show reruns of sprinter 'nearly did it' than live field events.

It is digraceful to show one throw or one jump out of a whole event to show presenters or dozens of replys of a race that has already been shown!

We would like to see all field event competitions, in that, we want to see each throw and each jump, not just the best 1 or 2 best throws or jumps in a comp!...Euro sport can do it so why can't the BBC?... We always see the build up to each track event and then we see the highlights after its completed particuarly the last 100m of each track event regardless of distance and we see it at least three or even 4 times!... We don't want to hear the so called experts talking about an event about to start or after its been completed!!.. Particuarly when we can see in the background field events going on!!.. It's so infuriating??... Please change!... We wonder why GB have very few athletes competing at major championships in the field events?..maybe the BBC have something to do with that??...

Youngsters get inspired when they see Field Events. Often they are not exposed to these events at school, especially hammer. TV is a powerful medium to help. Recently at a major competition there was just field events in progress & the public gained a much greater appreciation & actually thoroughly enjoyed this experience. TV has a huge responsibility in encouraging the nation equally in ALL sports!
