Think it's disgusting that hardly any throws are shown on tv,I personally believe tv talk to much!! If I wanted to listen to people talk about sport I would listen to a radio show! So many times there is world class throwing going on but the only time you see it is in the back ground of people talking!!! Who honestly wants to see someone run around in circles for 20-30 minutes,, best part of a long distance race is the last lap! Yet the bbc show only if we are lucky the winning throw,, disgusting, I hate watching athletics on tv because of this,,, it should not advertise as athletics on tv, as all it shows is running,,

It's disgraceful that some events take priority over others

it would be nice to see more of the field events, there is not one or two athletics taking part, not everyone like the track, and when you repeat the race so many time is boring, also to me there are too many faces thinking we want to see what they think, and to interview an athlete after a race, no, I would like to see what is going on in the field.

I watched this afternoon and it drove me potty!! There is far too much chatter going on and not enough 'action'. Especially in the Field!!

Expand participation in our sport by giving it the exposure it deserves. Not everyone is interested in every lap of the 5000m. BROADCAST THE THROWS AND JUMPS WITH MORE THAN 1 ATTEMPT!

I have long since stopped watching BBC athletics coverage. For whatever reason it has become a chat show with an occasional race. The 'commentators' are very poor in terms of both knowledge and personality. In a sport with more to show than can be possibly televised it has totally lost my interest. I only watch Eurosport whilst it continues to be more even handed

It's so annoying on TV when the "pundits" are having a conversation about a race we have just seen 4 times, when you can see a field event taking place behind them, that you know they won't show more than 3 jumps/throws of the whole competition. As a javelin thrower of 25 years I have seen numbers of field eventers dwindling. We need to get more people interested, and to do that, we need TV to show us more field events. It's not all about the running!!

It's a long time now since field events became a fully fledge member of athletics, hence it's known by the combined name of track & field. So why are field event era treated like none entities. It's money isn't it??.. Well maybe if some of that adhesive was injected into the right body part, it might start something worthy of televised viewing. More incentives are needed to enable a strong build for future development of our competitors of the green fields.

The Olympics gave good coverage with online field events and I think eurosport can be good for it too if you have the channel. At the events competitors don't get the respect often having to compete outside the arena then to not get credit and recognition is a further insult. Young throwers need to be inspired too. They need exposure to the top athltese in their events and be familiar as they are with track athletes And what about all the people who would like to get into athletics but 'I'm no good at running' attitude keeps them at bay. Athletics is the one sport where there is something for everyone no matter what your physical abilities are, your size, your fitness or your speed. If all that is being advertised of athletics through tv coverage, sponsor advetising and athletic bodies is running and track events that's what people will know of the sport. Field events are very entertaining to watch with competors having multiple attempts to challenge the title and often not succeeding until the final round. Results can be just as close as a photo finish with centimeters between athletes. Coverage of field events can also be a good training tool for athletes and coaches alike. Techniques vary and develope and a lot can be learn from recordings. The biomechanics of the event can be understood in the same way the splits for events up to 25 laps are displayed. We live in a society that is all about equal opportunities. It's also filled with social media and the highest standard of technology. Why is it so difficult to give field events the same platform and recognition at events. There are red buttons galore for music festival's and stages to suit all tastes. Surely in a time when being more active and being fit for life is high on government agendas, these facilities could be used to give a more detailed view of the sport and more opportunities to the athletes who take part in them.

I cannot believe how much superb action is missed on the TV coverage - I want to see as much of the field events happening as they happen, as well as the track action. British Eurosport coverage is much better than the BBC in this respect. Come on the Beeb, you can do much better!

If this was happening in any other part of society it would be seen as restrict of trade and inequality! Fair play to all and equal coverage please !
