Would love to see more field event action than have to listen to Denise Lewis or any other countless pundits. Why show more action & talk to them when showing replays & field events?

How does this inspire the younger generation when they do not see it as being a main sport - maybe football should be shown as often as field events!

Athletics is a popular sport but we don't get to see much of the throwing events it's mainly track. It would be nice to see more throwing on TV

Athletics is a popular participation sport, and the BBC could do a lot towards its "education" aims by taking seriously the opportunity to help participants improve their game by good presentation (e.g. the whole athlete, not forgetting the feet) and thoughtful commentary on both field and track events.

Many years ago, a survey of the Olympics shown on TV showed throws most popular. So where are we now ? During some 13 minutes of paint drying ( 5,000metres), can we get someone with KNOWLEDGE talking about the throws going on at the same time ?

I didn't realise that the BBC knew what a field event was - I am athletics coach specialising in the field events I very rarely watch athletics on BBC or Eurosport because of lack of interesting events

If you have to persist in having Denise Lewis et al talking meaningless rubbish at least use that as back ground to showing full live coverage of field events with subtitled real time record of distances etc.

BBC has far too many commentators/pundits. More action needed especially field events. The sport in general at club level is mainly concerned with endurance which also needs to change.
