I agree wholeheartedly and have spoken to this with Steve Cram. My son is now the NO1 hammer thrower in GB and would love to see more of this event on TV . As a lwevel 3 throws coach working on all of the throws it would be great to see more of them all

Children need to be able to see all the sporting options - not everyone is a runner.

How do you develop the field athletes of the future if kids cannot see any role models on the TV? There is a lot more to athletics than Mo Farah and Usain Bolt!

It's not fair that throws are not shown on TV, how are we ever going to encourage youngsters to take up event. The 100m is shown numerous times and the commentators, don't get me started on the waste of spaces most of them are.

Needs to happen, we put just as much if not more hard work than the guys you show and we deserve the same media coverage as every other track event. Eurosport can do it why not BBC? When competing at British championships I felt embarrassed and disheartened to see my fellow medal winning competitors and other field event winners not even get to have their medal in front of the main crowd but runners did even to the point that they got whizzed around on a go kart. Equality is all we are after and we deserve it. You know it's true! It's Track and field not Track and Track.

Your coverage of athletics needs a rethink. The lack of coverage of field events I dislike. The most annoying nonsense is the time that is spent on 'experts' given their option on what might or did happen. I have taken to watch the athletic coverage on I-Player so I can skim through this silly verbiage.

I'm tired of only being able to (occasionally) see a bit of a field - particularly throws - event in the corner of the TV while being forced to watch the 100 millionth lap of a track event. I want my licence fee back.

I strongly agree. Who is interested in watching them chatting while some great events are going on and being skipped at all?
