We don't need to see the commentators or here THEIR opinions. You would then be able to show a minimum of3/4 of hours of Field events. Much more interesting

We need to give these events more coverage. There is so much talent out there that we are not aware of and we need to show them how proud we are of what they are doing!!!

They train so hard, travel and the family or parents go with them. Give them the attention they deserve.

Definitely needs more coverage as all field events can be extremely exciting but get minimal coverage

Field athletes train long and hard and thoroughly deserve better recognition and coverage.

I'm a young thrower and would like to see the throws at each live event, I do not benefit from watching track events whatsoever

This has been going on since (dare I say it ???) runners and track agents started commentating and advising the BBC on what people wanted to see. It is the usual case of 'the public like track', and the field is only there to fill in the gaps between races. TV has not presented field events extensively or with any presentational skill since Ron Pickering passed away. Essentially the poor field coverage is because commerce sell millions of pairs of trainers and running shoes and only a few thousand throwing shoes. Money speaks - and our sport is the poorer for it. In many ways divorcing throwing from Track would be a godsend as we could develop our sport as we want it with the skill, excitement and drama properly presented in multimedia format with knowledgeable commentary, rather than the bland, crass and cliche'd rubbish that is now the norm.

While the sport is known as Athletics internationally, it is know as track and Field in the US. For some strange reason team competitions in the US count equal points for field events as with track events. There MUST be a reason!

Let's be honest everyone would rather watch an intense field event than a bunch of dudes joggin around the track 12.5 times
