FE1 EU Law March 2015 - Resit Demand

Law students who are currently undertaking theFinal Examination First Part hereby invoke the right to petition the Law Society of Ireland in respect of the European Union Law examination conducted by them on 20 March 2015. Given the egregious and unfair nature of the examination paper we formally request a further EU examination is held prior to September 2015. This demand is grounded on formal complaints that have been lodged separately with the Law Society but is primarily based on the consequences that students will inevitably suffer if a resit is not conducted, namely being unable to take up traineeships and / or commence the Professional Practice Course 1 in September 2015. Further questions on the examination were not expressly provided for on the syllabus. However this request is not intended to alter the position of those who have managed to obtain the pass mark of 50% at the March 2015 sitting.
