For over 60 years, the National Grocer Warehouse has been part of our community in Sudbury. Our community has made this warehouse a viable operation and the workers have been an asset to the company. The NG warehouse was productive and profitable and despite the employees' hard work, Loblaws still chose to close this operation. To add insult to injury, Loblaws is paying the Sudbury managers enhanced severance while offering the workers the minimum amount allowed by law and reneging on their longstanding practice and promise to negotiate a fair and equitable severance.
THIS IS UNFAIR, UNJUST AND UNACCEPTABLE!
We ask that you sign this petition in an effort to achieve a fair severance for these warehouse and office workers.

I have spent my week talking to workers who feel discarded by a company they gave their best years to. Loblaws is still keeping quiet, but I am currently preparing a formal letter to send their leadership team because we deserve more than just the legal minimum.

Seeing this level of support for my colleagues hits home because we spent decades building that warehouse into what it was. Watching the community rally behind us proves that Sudbury remembers the people who actually kept those doors open.

Worked there in the 90s. This is shameful treatement for loyal employees who built that place.
Enough is enough. Give them the severance they earned!!!!
Companies keep doing this and getting away with it. Sudbury deserves better than this treatment.
My brother worked there for 15 years and they just tossed him aside like garbage. Total slap in the face to Sudbury families.
Thinking of all the warehouse families right now. Stand tall guys.

LOBLAWS makes millions but cant pay their own workers what they deserve? disgusting greedy behavior.
