Currently, Fairfield citizens travel miles to other cities to purchase medical or recreational cannabis, as there are no professional retail facilities located within Fairfield. Medical and recreational cannabis is legal in the State of California. Our Mayor and City Council are evaluating whether to approve two (2) or more professionally-run retail cannabis stores in the city of Fairfield. We support our Mayor and City Council approving a minimum of six (6) professional retail cannabis businesses in Fairfield, guaranteeing hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax revenue for necessary programs for citizens, for local nonprofit organizations, and bringing 150+ new good-paying jobs to Fairfield.
