I have spent this week reading through your personal stories about the air quality in our neighborhoods. Knowing that so many of you wake up struggling to breathe because of the refineries nearby is exactly why I started this. We are currently compiling these accounts to show the city council that this is a crisis they can no longer ignore.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me of how many families in my neighborhood are tired of struggling to breathe. This surge in support proves that we are no longer ignoring the reality of the toxic air surrounding our homes.

GET IT DONE. My neighborhood is covered in thick black soot every single morning. It is absolutely unacceptable that we are being treated like second class citizens.
Fix this now. so tired of the excuses while our health suffers.

Living near the port is constant stress for my kids. The smell alone is bad enough but knowing what it does to our lungs is terrifying. We deserve better than this.
