Logos Online School Thanksgiving Break Letter of Petition
Dear Mr. Belschner,
My name is Amelia Munger, and I am reaching out as the organizer of a petition that has gathered hundreds of signatures from concerned students, regarding our time allotted for thanksgiving break.
As outlined in this petition, we believe this policy may inadvertently hinder our ability to rest, spend time with family and friends, and find thankfulness for this thanksgiving. While we understand the two days currently planned for a break, we humbly and respectfully request that the school administration reconsider its implementation and work with us to extend the break for a whole week. Starting on November 25th and ending November 28th. This would allow us to start school back up on the 2nd as originally planned. The petition has received overwhelming support, demonstrating Logos online schools strong feelings on this issue. We hope that you would take this proposal into deep consideration and change the school break dates from November 27th-28th to November 25th-28th.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
Sincerely,
Your students of Logos online school.
A week of thanksgiving would ensure that we as students would have adequate time to be able to rest, enjoy the Lord's blessings on our households, and spend time fellowshipping with family and friends! Also, many students (and teachers) are traveling or having lots of family stay with them, and with 2 days of school to worry about, the time of thankfulness might turn into a time of tiresome stress.
