What Judge Eliana Marengo did in a Quebec court is appalling (http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-judge-wouldn-t-hear-case-of-woman-wearing-hijab-1.2974282).
This is against our Canadian values, against all what we stand for as humans. This is against the secular system we all live under, where no discrimination based on colour, gender, race, religion or ethnicity can be tolerated. Judge Eliana Marengo refused to hear case from a Quebec woman (Rania El-Alloul) who had her car impounded because she wore a Hijab. Rania El-Alloul was not wearing face cover, so how different is that from a person wearing a Yarmulke, a Sikh turban or a Catholic nun wearing a head scarf. Please sign this petition so we can ensure such behaviour does not become the norm in our Canadian courts.
Bigotry, Racism and descrimination are unacceptable behaviour from any individual. That a judge would be have in such a blatantly racist manner is displicable. She needs to be removed. She does not represent Canadian Values and is it is a shame to have someone like her maintian thier position in the Canadian Jusdicial System.
