As a resident of Vermont, and a Seventh Generation consumer, I call upon the Vermont State Legislature to expand the state's bottle bill to cover rigid plastic bottles, like laundry detergent and dishwashing bottles.

The bottle bill is Vermont's most effective recycling program, achieving an 85% recycling rate for containers covered by the bottle bill. We believe the best way to increase recycling of rigid plastic containers is to include them in Vermont's bottle bill.
