As third year Humber College nursing students, we believe that Ontario's health care system should uphold the principles of the Canada Health Act by expanding the definition of "medically necessary". Home care should be deemed as an insured medically necessary service for all insured citizens of Ontario!

We are currently drafting a formal brief to outline the economic and clinical arguments for classifying home care as a medically necessary service. Our team is finalizing a request for a direct meeting with the provincial health policy committee to present these findings.

To provide appropriate nursing care to individuals with disabilities in Canada home care needs to be redefined as medically necessary
As someone with a physically disabled family member, it's is necessary that those in need are provided in home care in order to help provide equal opportunities for all.

my grandma really struggles to get the help she needs at home and its just not fair that it costs so much out of pocket when she paid taxes her whole life
