As a senior, I know I for one do not feel like I need the 20 minutes cutting into lunch time. Due to the lack of time to get off of campus in a timely manner, stay in lines at fast food restaurants, and come back I have found myself and others to be late to our third period classes. This is cutting into our valuable classroom time and I now have to be even more late due to having to go to the attendance stand to get a late slip. On top of all of this I also have no time to eat the food I got and it ends up being a waste of money. An hour-long lunch would be beneficial to allow our minds to have a rest instead of worrying about rushing to get food and come back to the classroom. It should be the students responsibility to have their work done and to not need the 20 minutes to do their projects and homework for class. An hour-long lunch would help teach responsibility and relieve stress.
