The administration officially granted the exemption for students with lunch passes today. I am relieved that we finally have the freedom to manage our own time without the stress of being marked late. Thank you for pushing for this change with me.

As a senior, I know I for one do not feel like I need the 20 minutes cutting into lunch time. Due to the lack of time to get off of campus in a timely manner, stay in lines at fast food restaurants, and come back I have found myself and others to be late to our third period classes. This is cutting into our valuable classroom time and I now have to be even more late due to having to go to the attendance stand to get a late slip. On top of all of this I also have no time to eat the food I got and it ends up being a waste of money. An hour-long lunch would be beneficial to allow our minds to have a rest instead of worrying about rushing to get food and come back to the classroom. It should be the students responsibility to have their work done and to not need the 20 minutes to do their projects and homework for class. An hour-long lunch would help teach responsibility and relieve stress.

I have been hearing from so many seniors who feel just as frustrated as I do about this constant rush. Your stories about being marked late despite trying to make it back to campus on time prove that this policy is hurting our education rather than helping it.

Seeing this kind of momentum feels validating because it proves I am not the only one struggling to choke down a meal in five minutes. This growth shows the administration that our lunch break is fundamentally broken and deserves a serious look.

No need for seniors to be wasting time in PT. Helpful to freshman useless to seniors

they really think 40 min is enough time to get out of the school, drive 10 min to get food, order AND eat, and get back in time lmaoo

I personally go 7 minutes away and grab food and come right back and I only have about 5 minutes to eat then run back inside. It’s ridiculous
