The name ' Eunonia JC' is definitely bad taste. Please change name of JC to Trinity Junior College or Singapore Junior College.

EUnuch + paraNOIA = EUNOIA. The MOE scholar who came up with this portmanteau deserves to be spayed.

Why on Earth be a SG51 new school be given a name not in any of our 4 official languages? Isn't this going against the promise by MOE that our schools are created equal?

My boy will grow up a man , an Alpha one if possible . This Eunoia thing is so feminine and make one wonder if the school's colour is pink . I mean Victoria is a woman but it has full of the strong Queen Victoria genre . The 3 source schools have history to lift heads high , now this .......

This is simply a joke, isn't it ? Using a word that was not found in any of my years of school books in S'pore. So pls use a name, eg. Stanford, Oxford that kind.

What were the other 199 options that lost out to the name Eunoia? Must have been difficult to find 199 worse names.

It is worrying to see that such a name, with no relevance to its location, affiliated schools and its culture, was chosen. It only reflects the type of thinking at the ministerial level backed by excessive Western influences for the mere sake of being so.

What has a word of Greek origin got to do with three mostly Chinese schools with long and rich history?

The name does not ring well, considering the history and culture of the 3 schools.

Instead of going "Greek", why not just "Chinese?" I mean lets look at what values are we imparting? Secondly from the reporting it sounds like an elitist institution. We were never that, we had students from everywhere, and whenever possible they were welcome into the fold. So I'm not sure why any of the schools would endorse such a move. Let's stop all these weird naming and just be a normal institution for goodness sake.

Please remove the new name eunoia and replace it with Chuang Yi JC;创意 初院。 Why must it be in Greek? A language, name that few European wants to associate with this notorious country. We are Asian, and here is Asia.. Why must we get a Greek to let people guess its meaning???

A school with such strong tradition and pedigree should have a name that reflects it's history and success

First impression counts. A good name should be one that is easy to pronounce and understand by all.
