The petition of the people of Croydon declares that there should be a referendum on European Union membership.
The Petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Government to call a referendum on EU membership at the same time as the next General Election.

I have been reading through the messages you all are leaving and the frustration with the status quo is palpable. This conversation belongs to us and it is time we insisted on a chance to cast our votes.

Seeing this grow so quickly reminds me how many people in Croydon share this deep frustration with our current path. It is incredible to see our local concerns turning into a movement that the House of Commons can no longer choose to ignore.
