Disney’s beloved Greeter Richard Gerth passed away, leaving many to grieve his death and miss his presence at the Grand Floridian Hotel. We propose to the CEOs of Walt Disney World Resort and the Grand Floridian Hotel that a bronze statue of Richard the Greeter be erected at the entrance to the Grand Floridian Hotel as a memorial, tribute and legacy to the many years Richard welcomed tourists to the beautiful parks.

We loved Richard and miss him every time we go to the Grand Floridian. He was such a sweet man and is dearly missed.
Such a kind soul. Always had a smile for everyone. He deserves to be remembered at the hotel.
