Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an abstinence based program that helps people who have been abusing drugs and alcohol. IOP is a great service because not only do you get the treatment you need, but you also get to have a life while your in this program. IOP requests 10-12 hours hours a week, so you still have time to do your daily affairs.
This petition calls for local hospitals like Silbley Memorial Hospital, Holy Cross, and Inova Alexandria to incorporate this program into there treatment procedures.
If IOP is in the standard routines for local hospitals drug treatment, we will become one step closer to ensuring everyone has access to equal drug treatment.

The growth of this petition shows that the demand for equitable Intensive Outpatient Program access in our regional hospitals is undeniable. I am currently drafting formal correspondence to the leadership at Sibley Memorial, Holy Cross, and Inova Alexandria to request a meeting regarding these treatment standards.

PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN. TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE FALLING THROUGH THE CRACKS AND DYING BECAUSE THEY CANT AFFORD THE GOOD PROGRAMS.
About time someone spoke up about the hospitals around here. Inova should definitely step up.

My cousin struggled so much to find help in DC without insurance. This needs to be available to everyone not just the rich people.
