School bullying is getting out of hand. There are several children and teens who have been taking their own lives because they are being made fun of in school. School is a place put here so that students can expand their minds. No student should feel afraid to attend school because another student, or teacher, is making their learning experience difficult by bullying them. This petition is here because there needs to be mandatory punishment placed on children or teens who are bullying fellow classmates. Bullying consists of physical, verbal, and mental abuse. In the real world, bullying is considered assault, or a hate crime. Why is it treated as if it isn't "harmful" in schools? It is more harmful than you could imagine, and it sticks with a person their entire life. I would like ANY type of bullying to be punished, regardless of times, or severity. This needs to stop NOW.
