Abhijit Nath and Nilutpal Das were two friends from Assam who were interested in tours and travels, they went to a place called Karbi Anglong were they decided to travel around the villages and capture photographs. Since sun sets early here in North East it was near sunset by the time they left, not sure about the timings. They had brought their own car and stopped at a place for purchasing something I believe when the villagers heard a rumour from one of their own that they were child traffickers, and came here for the same purpose. It wasn't long when they were about to enter the car the mob started to beat them up, they were ruthlessly beaten to death and a video was shot by one of the locals were it could be seen that one of them was crying and saying that I am an Assamese and please don't beat us, he took the name of his parents. After brutally beating them them were put back in the cars, were the Police in the morning found their Bodies. Now no one of the villagers are opening their mouth and because of their narrow mindedness two innocent souls were taken away.

I plan to send this petition to the Young generations who can think deeply and distinguish between what is right and wrong.

I have been reading through the messages you all are leaving and the pain in your words truly shows how much this injustice matters. It is overwhelming to see so many people who feel this loss as deeply as I do and I am still trying to figure out the best way to make sure these stories are never forgotten.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the response to this movement. It is truly humbling to see so many people standing against this senseless violence because the credit for this momentum belongs entirely to your compassion and willingness to speak up.

This is a very sad story of brutality arising out of nowhere but from a rumor. Such kind of incidents need to be discouraged and for this, justice is a must

I totally condemn the act done by the villagers. Brutally beating two innocent men to death just because of some rumour which they did not even bother confirming is just unacceptable. In this 21st century People definitely have to change their outlook towards life and not act like a herd of sheep. I convey my condolences to the families of these men and hope their soles rest in peace. Jai Hind

Culprit needs to be booked at any cost and dealt with the harshest punishment for taking law into their own hands and for killing and lynching two innocent boys

Its a shame on the locals as well as the police that people were killed only on the basis of suspicion and the police took no measures in stopping what was happening. Have more things to write about the incident ......for which social media would be the best platform to spread it among people .

This is an act which should be condemned by everyone. Strict action to be taken against those involved. Make such an example out of them that none of this ever happens to anybody else in the future ever again.
