Hi,

this a petition to get the -INDIAN GOVERNMENT- to Publicly and officially acknowledge the racially motivated crime committed against a young African student, in JALANDHAR, INDIA. Yannick Nihangaza, the Burundian student was beaten, stoned and left for dead two months ago by 7 men. To date only 2 men have been arrested so far and none of them have been charged.Yannick has been in a coma since the attack, and the Punjab officials keep ignoring the father's request for a legal investigation and financial support.

This petition is intended to get the INDIAN GOVERNMENT fully involved in the matter by : -Officially acknowledging Nestor Ntibanteganya's ,the father, request for an investigation

-pledging to bring all the 7 men involved to justice

-bring full financial support to the victim and his family

-and Finally by vowing to protect and prevent all african students from racially motivated crimes.

This is also intended towards anyone who knows Yannick and his family, and those who believe that these types of events should NEVER happen again anywhere in the world. To all Burundians and other Nationalities, without regard to where you are or from, please start writing to Indian Representatives and high commissions and get them involved. This could be your Brother too!! Thank You ( use your FACEBOOK to sign , it helps attracting attention to the matter in other social medias as well )

Where is the justice? Letting 5 of the attackers walk free while that poor boy is in a coma is an absolute disgrace. The government needs to wake up.

Unbelievable that they havent charged everyone yet. Seems like they are trying to sweep it under the rug. Not ok.
