Guy Fawkes has nothing to do with South Africa. It's a British thing. Diwali too should be celebrated with small candles ..... No fireworks required. 20 people were injured in the Western Cape alone in one night with fireworks. Animals were terrified. People disobey rules and regulations regarding fireworks anyway and law enforcement says they don't have the man power to deal with all the calls and complaints coming in. So save everyone the headache and BAN FIREWORKS OUTRIGHT!!!!!!

GF has no part in SA history and animals suffer unnecessarily so that a few people ( who could care less about GF) can see pretty lights. As a vet I've seen the damage. Please ban fireworks

Please ban the sale of fireworks in South Africa. This is a British tradition which has no place in this country. People, animals and property are being hurt and damaged by irresponsible people who are using this day for anti social behaviour.
