By allowing the sale of Pit Bull puppies on
CRAIGSLIST, we as a community are encouraging the 'backyard breeding' of this wonderful, yet targeted breed. There are nearly 35,000 Pitbulls up for adoption each year, across the nation. Sadly, many will be euthanized before getting a chance at a new life. A few numbers for you: In Los Angeles alone, there are 200 Pit Bulls killed every single day. That's 1,400 killed each week and
72,800 euthanized every year (in Los Angeles alone). [http://thebullybreedblog.com]
It's our duty, as responsible pet lovers, to eliminate access to free social media outlets (such as CRAIGSLIST) which provide easy and affordable means to solicit the sale of Pit Bull puppies nationwide. CRAIGSLIST is not only enabling these unregistered, uneducated, and ignorant people to breed their dogs - oftentimes in harsh and cruel environments - but is also encouraging it by giving them the tools they need to continue breeding for profit. If they can't sell them, maybe they'll stop breeding them.
Let CRAIGSLIST know that it's no longer unacceptable to allow the breeding and selling of Pit Bulls on their site.
CRAIGSLIST NEEDS TO BAN THIS NOW. its way to easy for bad people to sell these dogs without any checks. tired of seeing this every day.
