Mercari is a buy and sell app that takes no commission- sounds great right? I was a happy user that had nothing bad to say about mercari... Untill one day I find mercari has stolen little over 1k from me (roughly $1,200.00 USD) I was saving up for my first car and now I have to start all over. They completely wiped me out of my items and my money...
This is just my story. There are many other (hundreds) who are victims of having their money stolen by mercari.. However, there are THOUSANDS who have complained about mercari scamming them in other ways than just stealing their money out of their balances and bank accounts

Mercari stole 2 grand from me and my husband that we worked so hard to get. This really set us behind. This site should be shut down and forced to give everyone their money back!! A bunch of thieves, I’m honestly surprised they’re still around and not closed down
I shipped my son's phone to a seller. We have the shipping confirmation and it was delivered. Now Mercari says it was lost in transit. They are lying and they took advantage of us. No iPhone, no money just.....out of luck!! I don't think so!! This means waaaaaar!
Mercari stole 75 dollars from me on my first time using it, the seller claimed he shipped the item but he never did. He requested a rating from mercari and they gave him a rating. I contacted mercari but they ignored me its been about 8 days now and still no answer
They suspended my account because my sister had an avvoibt as well. We love aft the same address and use the same Wi-Fi so they assume I have 2 accounts. They suspended us both with no warning or any thing. I tried to email them and I just get an auto msg
Wow this is a total scam website i had 2 days to ship a package off and i ship on the 2nd day and they let the buyer cancel the package after i ship it so i have no idea how im going to get my money back but i have the receipts very bad business.
They just steal from everyone

Mercari closed my account after I files a dispute for receiving a counterfeit item that was purchased on their application. Mercari not only closed my account but took my balance from the sales I had done on Mercari. Mercari stole $201.66 from me.
