Tired of being scammed this place needs to be shut down

Needs to stop immediately!!! The app is pretty popular enough for them to place more security within there operation.

I bought items from them that was stolen items and I reported it and nothing was done. No refund or anything

Mercari is a scam for buyers too! After receiving an item that was not as described and slightly damaged, I tried to return WITHIN their 3 day return window. What a joke. There was no link to return, no email, no phone number, I had to google it to find contact information to Mercari. They told me my item was "rated" on 10/6 - the very day it was delivered. And guess what? No returns after it's rated and who rates the items? Mercari themselves. What a scam! They rate their own transactions then tell you the item can't be returned because it's been rated! I also started the return within the 3 day window but they said it had to be within 72 hours instead of 3 days and nowhere on their site does it say that. You will never get your money back for any purchase from Mercari. Stay away from this fraudulent company!

Mercari is preventing me from transferring almost $2000 of CLEARED Monies, Monies they have absolutely NO right to restrict or control at this point. These monies are out of escrow and belong to me, Contacting Reports with FTC, BBB and the FBI cyber crimes. This is unacceptable!

I just got an email saying my account was closed. I have over $1300 dollars in my balance that I was saving for Christmas presents. I’ve tried messaging through the help center, calling their BS customer service number AND emailing. NO RESPONSE. I’m a single mom and this is my income! I can’t believe they can get away with this! I need that money!

Same story. Saving up for a car and BOOM closed account even though I followed all rules. I want my $700 back.

Mercari stole money from my bank account. $145.77 to be exact. I put in debit card info to be issued a Instant Pay, Instead of issuing my funds they took my amount owed to me from my bank account

Mercari permanently banned my account for listing graded coins. They sent me a message saying it’s not allowed. I told them I have sold numerous silver coins on the site already and have bought numerous coins. Why where those transactions allowed then. I received no answer and the next coin I listed I received a message that my account is now banned. I sent customer support a message asking them why thousands of other seller's and thousands upon thousands of other listings for silver coins are allowed but mine aren’t. I told them that’s discrimination you can’t allow certain sellers to list there coins and not allow me. Keep in mind mine were graded authentic coins too. There was no issue with them being authentic or not Mercari support just said that they do not allow paper money or coins listed on there site. I kept records of all the correspondence between myself and mercari and took numerous screen shots of other sellers who had coins like I was listing for sale and ones that were sold and they were never banned. If anyone has a lawyer they can recommend as I am interested in exploring a law suit against mercari for discrimination. I would have completely understood if they banned everyone who listed coins for sale but seems as only I am not allowed to list coins for some reason.

Hi I was recently banned on my mercari for infringement as products were authentic. Algorithm is very bad and banned from account. (Mercaris Violation 1) I am awaiting a return item and mercari has placed a postage amount on package by usps so item needs to be paid for as I shipped by UPS. I know for a fact that mercari placed the postage as I was told they will and can withhold future items and transactions (Mercari Violation 2) I was never given the option to authenticate product. Second, an account was made by my sister and mercari blocked her account since we are in the same household and puts the household in jeopardy and blocked her account for no reason and was told items will be withheld since something was ordered through that account, since my paypal to her account was connected. (Mercari Violation 3 and 4) How does this apply for someone different as they have not been accused for infringement or created an account before and how dare they withhold package to someone who has never sold on mercari. Mercari has violated more than their own terms and policies and will look into a small claims court decision since I live in California and mercari is based in california. I have never been accused of infringement and will not start now.

I have also been scammed by Mercari. They closed my account after two sales, both with very satisfied buyers. No reason or explanation was provided for the closure. They kept the proceeds from the last sale. It seems, they are in business to steal!

My account has an internal error that is preventing me from getting on the app or do anything within my account. IT says the only way they can help is if I verify through the app which I can't. They are keeping all the money I had earned. I'm so upset with their unethical and criminal behavior. I feel helpless.
