This petition is to end all puppy mills in the state of Tennessee. Puppy mills are a sad and cruel way to birth and raise puppies and have an everlasting effect on the mother of the puppies and the puppies themselves.

Puppy mills start with the mother and breed her with little or no breaks in between litters until she is no longer capable of doing so. Once she is no longer capable, she is often killed. The puppies are then separated from their mother, which can result in the puppies suffering from fear, anxiety, or a number of behavioral problems. Puppies can also contract a number of diseases such as parasites or pneumonia as well as a hereditary or congenital disease. This is a result of puppy mills little regard to the mill’s unsanitary conditions as well as the dog’s genetic quality.

Puppy mills house their puppies in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions with cages that injure the puppies’ paws and leg. The cages are often stacked on top of each other and the dogs are often subjected to wire flooring. Puppy mills are often without commensurate veterinary care, food, water, and socialization, whether it be human or puppy.

All of what you just read is a result of heartless humans caring more about the profit of puppies then the lives of puppies. As a human being, I cannot bare to see another puppy mill in action.
