Does Taylor Swift want to be known as a person who endorses a product that contains what Dr. Joseph Mercola calls "by far the most dangerous substance added to most foods today"?

We don't think so.

We think Ms. Swift is a good person with good intentions who is simply uninformed about the dangers of aspartame, a substance which breaks down into, among other things, formaldehyde.

We think Ms. Swift has no knowledge of the fact that aspartame accounts for 75 percent of adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA.

We think Ms. Swift has no knowledge of the fact that many aspartame reactions are very serious, and include seizures and death.

We think Ms. Swift has no knowledge of the fact that aspartame chases away the body's natural hormone, serotonin, which makes us feel full after a meal. Without serotonin to tell us when we're full, we keep eating. Thus, this "diet" chemical actually encourages us to eat more than our body needs.

Let's encourage Taylor, politely and respectfully, to end her endorsement of Diet Coke, which contains the dangerous synthetic chemical aspartame.

Please be polite in your comments.

And please consider tweeting this petition to Taylor at her official Twitter account.

In health,

Jock Doubleday

The momentum is hitting hard and honestly I am spinning a little bit thinking about how many people actually care about this aspartame issue. It feels like the message is finally cutting through the noise which is wild considering how big these brands are. I need to figure out the best way to get this on her radar but for now I am just sitting here staring at the screen and trying to process the shift.

Aspartame is a trigger for my seizures, and many other people suffer from this without knowing it until they are monitored in a hospital. It should be illegal. Plus, this makes shinny girls that look up to the singer think they need to diet. Bad idea to endorse such things in young minds!

She doesn't need to "diet". She is a role model for many young girls. Drinking sugar and chemicals is not what Taylor Swift stands for. AND she doesn't need the money.

Aspartame made me very sick!! The doctors thought I had MS, then I stopped aspartame and all symptoms went away.

It is imperative that we stop selling our souls for money and honor the hearts of what serves the highest good for humanity. Taylor, utilize your influence for service to humanity... not pushing poison. I will vote with my dollar and stop supporting your music until you start supporting humanity. BIG LOVE, ALWAYS
