En Vogue is long overdue for a Divas live appearance
Once a year the cable music channel VH1 broadcasts a show entitled Diva\'s Live.It is a concert that showcases, the vocal talents of some of the most influential and groundbreaking female singers and groups of our time. In previous years we have been priviledged to see artists such as Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston grace the stage and perform some of their greatest hits alone and in some instances paired w/other Divas. This year we would like to see The R&B singing sensations En Vogue included in the line-up. With mega hits like \"Hold on\", \"My Lovin (Never Gonna Get It)\", and \"Free Your Mind\", to name a few, Cindy Herron-Braggs, Terry Ellis, Maxine Jones, and Dawn Robinson have proved time and again why they are the premier female singing group of the last few decades. Since hitting the airwaves in 1990, this photogenic quartet have amassed several platinum albums as well as several gold and platinum singles. Along the way they have garnered several AMA,VMA, and Soul Train awards as well as 8 grammy nominations. Dawn Robinson left in 1997 to pursue a solo career, and though this may have derailed most groups, En Vogue continued making beautiful music, first as a trio and then adding new member Amanda Cole and most recently Rhona Bennet Fourteen years after BORN TO SING the vocal phenomenon known by fans affectionately as \"The Funky Divas\" released their 5th full length record SOULFLOWER again proving why when it comes to blending soul, pop, rock and R&B, they are peerless. It is time to right a wrong. En Vogue is long overdue for inclusion on VH1\'s Diva\'s Live.
