In 1978, three boys from Orchard Park, in Roxbury, inner-city Boston—Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins, and Ricky Bell—started a vocal group. They were soon joined by friend Ralph “Rizz” Tresvant and local choreographer Brooke Payne’s nephew Ronnie DeVoe, and later, Johnny Gill. As the legend goes, Payne, who met the boys after watching them perform at a local talent show, christened the group New Edition. Since then, New Edition has been the inspiration for numerous “boy bands” that have come after them. Some of their accomplishments include winning multiple music awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and, most recently, a residency in Las Vegas in 2024! After more than 40 years in the entertainment industry, they continue to perform as a group and as individual artists. This dynamic SUPER GROUP is well overdue to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Please sign this petition so we can make that happen!

PLEEEASE give them their flowers NOW, while they are STILL ALIVE to APPRECIATE the fans love and support. Also, they were AMAZING when I saw them at Yaamava in Highland, CA about 2 weeks or so ago, the crowd danced damn near the ENTIRE show
This group is an institution of pop plus R&B. A true part of music history. They have inspired new boy bands to be produced. They are legendary with hit after hit. Their live performances leave you in awe. They are the sound of a generation and should be recognized. Thank you.
As they should, outside of the Jackson 5, these boys are the greatest, and brilliant, evolving and staying relevant for almost over 4 decades, transforming their group into new groups, and successful individual artist. Their dedication to their craft and performances show excellence.
New Edition deserves this honor. After 40 years, they continue to sell out arenas..They are the soundtrack to our lives, both collectively and individually. I had the pleasure of seeing their Vegas residency. They still got it! #NE4LIFE.
I have been a candy girl since 1988. These guys have been around both as New Edition and have been it in other groups ( BBD, LSG, Heads of State) and as solo artists ( J.G, R.T ans if course B.B) 40 years in the game and still selling out shows is enough to get them inducted! NE4life!!

I believe that new edition has contributed to the music industry for over 30 years and should be inducted and celebrated. Baby Boomers and Milleniels and Gen Z alike know and continue to enjoy their music.
