Renaissance Empress is a community movement working in collaboration with the Empress Cultural Centre board that seeks to preserve and promote the former Empress Theatre, an outstanding cultural and historically significant architectural landmark in NDG, as a cultural centre.
As citizens, we urge our elected officials to accord heritage status to the building, and to work with the community to insure that this important and ideally located site is at last transformed into the long-awaited cultural centre that will serve all residents of NDG!

Montreal is losing all its character. Keep the Empress as a cultural hub for the neighborhood instead of just another condo project.

Total waste of space right now. Turn it into something for the community before it falls down completely.

This building is an icon for NDG. It has been sitting empty for way too long. Just fix it up and let us use it already.
