Children need a chance to socialize as well, and they should not be punished by being forced into silence during their only social time during a school day, namely lunch period. This petition's sole purpose, signed by parents in the Tinton Falls School District, is to eliminate the current rule at Swimming River School that children must eat their lunches in silence and to allow these kids to have a chance to socialize with friends during the lunch period.
