I am still honestly stunned by the number of parents who have reached out to share their own frustrations about the lunch policy. All of this attention is coming from you and your experiences, and I am just doing my best to organize what you have already started.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you feel the same way about lunch time. This momentum belongs entirely to the parents and students who decided to speak up. It is clear that this issue means a lot to our community.

Just let them talk. Its lunch.
My son hates lunch now. He says it feels like a prison. Why are they being treated like criminals?
Kids need to socialize. They work hard in class all day and they deserve to talk to their friends while they eat. This is ridiculous.
Teachers really need to rethink this policy. It makes no sense to force kids to sit in silence when they should be learning social skills.
TOTAL NONSENSE. SCHOOL LUNCH SHOULD BE A BREAK.

Are you kidding me? A silence timer for lunch? Let them be kids for crying out loud.
