We have heard the horror stories regarding the treatment of Seabrook Students and students from other Towns that have suffered due to the Town they reside in, their last name or relations with school board members. Some have lived the nightmare, some have witnessed it, and some have found it hard to believe. The NEASC a group of 19 highly educated people were paid by you the taxpayer to come in and evaluate our school. During their short 3 day visit they witnessed something noone never thought they would see. They witnessed Teachers discriminating against certain students and the students Socioeconomic status which is an economic and sociological combined total measure of a person's work experience and of an individual's or family’s economic and social position in relation to others, based on income, education, and occupation. The Principal, Superintendent, and the majority of your school board refused to launch an investigation and terminate the teachers involved in this horrific discrimination action against our Winnacunnet students. During the election campaign mailings were sent out on March 6, 2014 noted at the bottom paid for by SEA Jon Croteau, Treasurer Labor Donated and SEA a group within the Corporate division which are usually a 501;c;3 group and the President of this group is Andrew Gushee a Winnacunnet Teacher. SEA also used their Face Book website to promote certain candidates, copied and posted draft Town ballots marking who they (SEA) wanted you to vote for, signs were purchased, and Winnacunnet SEA members stood at the polls for certain cadidates. A 501(c)(3) cannot use funds for any political purposes or to support for or against candidates. On March 5 a group called SEA- PAC a 501(c)(5) registered with the Secretary of State Chair being Kevin Flemming and treasurer Jon Croteau both Winnacunnet Teachers and they are now claiming all of the money came from SEA PAC and not SEA despite the print on the bottom of the mailings clearly stating Paid by SEA. I asked that you please sign this petition if you believe, 1. Our Seabrook students along with all other students have a right to an education and be treated without discrimination from Winnacunnet Teachers. We the petitioners are demanding a full investigation by our Winnacunnet School Board, Superintendent and Principal based on the recent findings of NEASC with any teacher found to be involved in the reported discrimination to be terminated. 2. We the people call for the resignation of any elected Winnacunnet School Board members that agreed to allow the SEA campaign mailings in support of them as candidates, allowed any purchased election signs by SEA, and allowed any other promotions used during the elections to support the candidates by SEA. We must take action and do what we can to protect our kids from any further discrimination at Winnacunnet and secure their right to a quality education. Please join us and send a strong message to our High School.
