Kids aren’t a risk group of contracting or spreading the virus which has an extremely low death rate to begin with. They need in person learning and without wearing masks and breathing in their own waste all day.

I do not believe that a mixed plan of partially in person and partially virtual will help our children. I personally would like my child in school full time with reasonable, sustainable and statistically supported guildlines in place. This is what is right for my child. The increased anxiety of in and out of school will not produce the stability and optimal learning environment that our children need. I respect any parents desire to keep their child/children home with a virtual option, just as I hope they would respect my desire to have my child in school full time. However, the "mixed" plan, in my opinion, serves no one's best interest. I know many are working hard to make a plan and I do not wish to minimize that work. However, as a family with 2 full time working parents, please realize that if the mixed option is chosen, my child will then potentially be exposed to more people monthly than she would be if placed back in school full time. I struggle with understanding how that helps keep more people safe.
