Petitioning the Episcopal Church (USA) on their refusal to affirm Christ
TO: KATHARINE JEFFERTS SCHORI, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church (USA) Dear Bishop Schori: We, the undersigned Christians, by the authority of the divinely inspired Scriptures (2 Tim. 3:16) do hereby extend to you and the entire governing body of your church the following adjuration (Eze. 33:6). First and foremost, we beseech you* to search the Scriptures (Jn. 5:39, 2 Tim. 2:15) and correct the direction of the ECUSA from apostasy (1 Cor. 9:27, Tit. 1:16, 2 Cor. 13:5, 2 The. 2:3) back to biblical orthodoxy (Mat. 24:35, Mk. 13:31, Lk. 21:33). We acknowledge that differing interpretations of God\'s Word have caused division among Protestant believers in the past, however, as Christians we must universally affirm the deity of Jesus Christ, and that He is, singularly, the Way and that there is no way to the Father but by Him (Jn. 10:7-9, Jn. 14:6, 1 Tim. 2:5).
