I am honestly stunned to share that the university has decided to move our final exams online. This result belongs entirely to you because your persistence forced them to listen when I never thought they would.

Final supporters
Good day, students of EMU as well as those it may concern. It seems that eastern Mediterranean university is trying to keep us in the dark about how we will be writing our final exams. And we the students need to feel safe about our health hoping they’ll make the right decision without jeopardizing our cgpa and graduation. Exams in September should not be an option because it just prolongs the stress, we need to relax during our break to maintain sanity.. There are only very few disadvantages of online classes and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages especially at a time like this. Nobody is going to be willing to risk their life in order to avoid cheating during exams which to some extent is very obviously inevitable. The fact is it would seem that at a time like this, the university would much rather decide to put our health as top priority but that doesn’t seem at all like the case. It is not fair on students as well as lecturers, be it the ones who are in support and those who are opposed to the idea of a face to face examination. Not only is this idea putting individuals at risk physically but also psychologically as well. So many people have been living in fear of the worst since the spread of this deadly virus in the TRNC and the thought of interacting with people is much dreaded. This petition has been made genuinely for the people who already know all this and yet don’t know how to go about speaking up or opposing their idea. I believe the best way to do this is online as it has proven more effective both in the past and since we started it this year. I hope we all take up the courage to sign this petition as it’s in our best interest. Remember that silence can otherwise be taken as consent so it’s time we speak up.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have joined this effort to protect our health and peace of mind. If everyone here could send this link to three classmates right now we might finally reach that next goal together. This has become so much bigger than I ever imagined because of your dedication.

It’s not fair to have everything online for the same courses then suddenly change to face to face exams they’re that transition is stressful plus the change will worsen a student’s actual performance since they’re not accustomed yet.
My parents live with me in TRNC and I sign this petition not only for myself, but for them as well. I just want to make sure the virus is totally gone before anything. There is a saying that goes like this "better be safe than sorry"
Good evening I propose we do the final exam online. Apart form the points mentioned above, thousands of students who went home because of this crises are not being considered. What actions will be carried out to complement these student after a whole 3 - 4 months on online class?
Please senates of Emu, you should consider the life of thousands of your students and keep the exams online. Secondly the exam should commence as schedule not delay to September. Most people want the semester to end as soon as possible and fly back to their country once the border is open. Thanks
The idea of face to face is only going to end up putting many at risk and endangering our health because of the fear of examination malpractice which is an issue that should be considered as miniature when put in comparison with our health. Online classes have proven to be effective to an extent abeg. Nobody wants to die over cheating

Online cause its unfair for other student who already traveled and their locked up in their countries and you cant blame then for leaving cause its a pandemic family always comes first ! So i suggest being fair and choose online

This is a pandemic situation but our school is not aware that us students are also struggling with it! workload of this semester piled up and we are trying to deal with it already! We don't want any more stress on our shoulders!
