Where would you be if there was an earthquake right now? Is where you are safe enough? In 1989 there was an earthquake in San Andreas. This major earthquake was the cause of 63 deaths and 3,757 injuries, according to the USGS website. But not only, , earlier in 1960 there was an earthquake in Chile which caused 1,655 deaths and 3,000 injuries, plus 2,000,000 became homeless.

You may not know earthquakes also cause tsunamis. Just like in Hawaii there was a tsunami because of an earthquake. Only the tsunami killed 63 people, so imagine how many people the earthquake killed. In Japan there was another major earthquake which also caused 138 deaths according to USGS historic websites. Don't let a disaster overcome us!

I am writing this petition because I believe buildings and houses should be more secured for people. Especially in San Andreas, California because it is very probable that there will be another earthquake soon. My thoughts are for the government to put special roofs, walls and floors on buildings and houses, which makes the roof unbreakable for earthquakes with its flexibility skills. Scientists began recording earthquakes in 1880, but it was not until the 1940's that they had the idea to put flexible walls. This idea is really good but it seems like people just don't care.

That's why we should improve these walls and make it more flexible for bigger earthquakes. Like in Dubai and in Japan they have some, but my idea is to add houses and also buildings to make it more safe and secured for people. Just like there is a theory that a another earthquake will struck California city and maybe the cities next to it. So People in california should be ready for what's coming! And trust me what's coming is big!
