The following roads are effected County line South of Gower , NW 268th St, NW Poage Rd and NW 284th St.
This hazard being diminished visibility caused by the clouds of dust, damage to vehicles, damage to crops and inhalation dangers of toxic and fine silica dust to families and pets living on roads, divers using roads and livestock in the area especially to people with medical conditions. There has already been a rollover and several minor accidents in the first few weeks.
This request is made to the Missouri Department of Transportation who closed the main Highway for the bridge replacement knowing that these roads would be used as a bypass, the Clinton County Road and Bridge and the Clinton County Commissioners who are responsible for maintaining the saftey of the County roads.

The Missouri Department of Transportation and the Clinton County Commissioners are still ignoring the choking clouds of silica dust covering our homes and fields. They know their bridge detour is turning our roads into a disaster zone but they refuse to lift a finger while our property is ruined and our neighbors are crashing their cars. We are done being an afterthought in their construction plans.

The momentum behind this petition proves that the Clinton County Commissioners cannot keep ignoring the health and safety of the people living on these bypass roads. MoDOT dumped this traffic in our laps without a second thought for the dust and accidents they caused. We are going to keep turning up the heat until they finally take responsibility for this mess.

The dust is AWFUL and VERY DANGEROUS to US. The ones traveling daily just to get to work or even the grocery store!! Anyone traveling these roads are at a constant risk of an accident! My husband and SEVERAL others have almost been in head on collision due to the dust and lack of visibility!! I truly wish that this issue is dealt with!!!!
This is a no brainer. Plans for dust control should have been put in place long before the bridge work started. You absolutely cannot see when a car passes.
It is creating hazardous road conditions
Not only is this a breathing hazard for people but dangerous you cant see people in front of you or coming at you it's an accident waiting to happen
It was so dusty this morning that I couldn't see anything.
Driving on the gravel roads is extremely dangerous. Meeting a car takes visibility to zero!
Something needs to be done about all the dust you can't even see when other cars are coming at you. Safety first......

My kids live on the main road.. it's a bad road on normal days.. when you get people that dont know how to drive on gravel.. that scares me.. its crazy.. be safe
