The RA Museum finally committed to honoring the Gold Card for all 434 of us. They folded on the entry fees and we held them to their promise. Keep your eyes peeled to ensure they follow through when the doors open.

Final supporters
Many Gunners were promised a Gold Card giving free entry to the RA Museum in return for giving up a day's pay and partaking in other fund raising activities over several years. The card never arrived and after many years of asking we have decided to put pressure on RA Museums Ltd to honour the Gold Card when their new enterprise the Salisbury Plain Heritage Centre opens in around 5 years time. Furthermore SPHC has announced the RA Association members will get discounted entry unlike the free entry they enjoyed at the old museum. All serving and veteran Gunners should be able to visit for free and take pride in a Regiment they so honourably served.

This is a simple matter of Honour, We honoured our promise to our country , the RA museum should not cheapen our commitment by their lack of conviction to promises made .
All veterans who have served with the RA should have free entry to their museum. Ask for donations by all means, but don't charge them an entry fee. Disgusted with this. They have earned the right. Fully support our RA brothers in this petition. Ted Crutchley RE
I was one of those soldiers who gave up more than a day's pay, not through choice either. I supported numerous fund raising events and voted in, again not through choice, a donation from the WOs' & Sgts' Mess, for what?
I served my time and paid into Firepower on the promise of free entry for life. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. What a shocking way to treat veterans of the Royal Regiment!
I payed and now either honour the pledge or give us our money back. Disgusted about the whole thing and the copyright rubbish on the word GUNNER beggars belief

THe RA is still one of the biggest Regiments in our ever shrinking Army if you contributed to The Day's Pay Scheme you should get in for free.

Without our contributions of which there were many this project would never have got off the ground. We considered it an investment into our history. Free access is the least we should get
