The Duncanville independent school board is forcing what and the way us children wear our clothing. They never asked the students of Duncanville high school for our input on this subject. Most teachers and priciples tell us students we should stop acting like kids but when we try to act like adults they keep knocking us down and treating us like kids. The way we wear our hair, and the way we dress are all expressions of individuality. I know that there are certain points were dress code should be enforced, but taking away students individuality completely is un-American. Dress code does not have anything to do with the way our students learn. Khaki pants and solid white shirts does not improve our learning skills it is the determination and will to want to learn that improves our learning skills. It is time the school officals give the students their freedom of individuality. This petition is to change the dress code please sign your name and the reason you are in favor of changing the dress code.
