A lot of people travel from Assam and North East to Middle East, Europe and Americas. A direct flight service from Guwahati to Dubai and return will save a lot of time in transits and it will also boost Tourism Sector of Assam & North East. In addition, Guwahati can be the Transit point (Stop Over location) between Middle East and South East Asia. This will NOT only boost tourism and easy movements of people, but also improve business transactions.
We request Assam and India government to kindly look into this matter seriously and arrange to introduce the direct flight connection between Dubai and Guwahati.

Good initiative. Only possible if Airlines co. does not have to bear loss in this sector if direct flight is introduced. Is it possible to get some valid data ( e.g. avg monthly international passengers flying from guwahati) to support and strengthen this petition.
I work in Saudi Arabia , a direct flight will help people like us from Assam in convinient journey.
I travel twice a year from Dubai to Guwagati and it's really difficult to travel via connecting flights
Direct flight betwn Gau-DxB much needed at least weekly once, It will be really a blessing for all northeastern people who are all working in UAE and As well as It might boast Assam tourism. Also.
This will also help in export of agro commodities and boost economy of NE India.
Yes I feel this would help in boosting up tourism in the entire North east India.

We stay in Muscat & travelling home to Guwahati takes a lot of time. Transit in Delhi or Mumbai and again waiting at night or early morning to catch the next flight - it’s insane. It’s high time Guwahati International airport is directly connected to Dubai and then to other Middle East cities. So many people from Assam live here and it’s a shame we can’t travel direct to our city.
