Dear Airlines/DGCA,
As you know that Bhubaneswar Airport (BBI) got International status long back (Oct.-2013). This airport is having separate terminal (Terminal-2) and fully equip with all necessary requirement for handle International passenger. Many International carriers ready to start their new routes. Due to permission issue they are unable to add new destination as a BBI. Recently direct flight started to kualalumpur and Bangkok from Bhubaneswar Airport.
Sir, we would like to inform you that huge number Odisha & its neighbor state people are staying in UAE. But they are not getting any direct carrier to their lovable destination like Bhubaneswar. We people are requesting you to please extend your route Dubai-Mumbai AI 984 to Bhubaneswar International Airport (BBI) as per stop over mode or else allow other airlines to start there direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Dubai. Till date there is no Air India early morning flight from Mumbai to Bhubaneswar route, so you will get huge number of domestic as well as International passenger in this route because of early morning flight of AIR INIDA.

1. AI 984 DUBAI-MUMBAI route extend to Bhubaneswar Airport
2. Start new route BHUBANESWAR-DUBAI-BHUBANESWAR
3. Start new route BHUBANESWAR-AHMEDABAD-DUBAI-AHMEDABAD-BHUBANESWAR
4. Start new route BHUBANESWAR-NAGPUR-DUBAI-NAGPUR-BHUBANESWAR
5. Start new route BHUBANESWAR-INDORE-DUBAI-INDORE-BHUBANESWAR

I have been hearing from so many of you who are tired of the exhausting layovers just to reach family overseas. Your messages prove how desperately our community needs this direct link to the Middle East. I am currently reaching out to airport officials again to ensure they see exactly how many people are waiting for this change.

Seeing this grow makes me think of all the families like mine who lose precious days traveling just to get home. This momentum shows that our demand for a direct connection to the Middle East is impossible for airlines to ignore anymore.

This is very essential for expats living in middle east and a gateway to US and europe
We Odias living in the UAE humbly request you to start a direct flight from Dubai to BBSR which will be convinient to the 3 lakh plus Odia residing here. This will also encourage tourism to the state which will bring in revenue to the exchequer.
It will be better if there isa direct flight between Dubai and Bhubaneswar than a via flight. Many US and UK oriya passengers are transiting via Dubai. They also can benefit.
We have parents who are old and find it difficult to change two flights to get to Dubai.
Bhubaneswar now is the most important city of Eastern India and the capital of OdishaState, rich in mineral and culture. DIRECT Ties between Dubai and Bhubaneswar is a crying need.
Plz start a direct fight soon

Even Odisha as one of the top investment state, still this demand has not been fulfilled. Really it's challenging for larger no of people working in UAE. Request for an earliest way to find out to solve the situation.
