The government finally listened and moved the legal age to twenty-one. Seeing this change happen is a massive relief for families like mine who have seen the impact of early nicotine addiction firsthand. We need to stay focused on how this is implemented to ensure it actually protects our youth.
Seeing so many of you share stories about losing loved ones to tobacco addiction has been heavy but necessary work. I am currently gathering these experiences to present them directly to the people who hold the power to change our laws.

Seeing this grow makes me think of the years I spent watching my younger brother struggle with an addiction that started far too early. Your choice to sign this brings us closer to protecting other kids from that same path.
