The signatories of this petition declare that they would support the bill that Senator Marco Rubio intends to present as an alternative to the DREAM Act for undocumented students who were brought to United States to no fault of their own if and only if the bill meets two conditions: (1) If the Rubio alternative establishes a visa process for legalization, the visa process cannot prohibit us from seeking citizenship one day (2) The bill does not set a low age limit or must include a retroactive clause for DREAMERS who have graduated from college and have aged as a result of governmental inaction.
The momentum behind this effort has grown into something I honestly did not think possible at the start. It is exhausting to keep fighting for basic fairness but seeing this level of backing proves that our conditions for support are heard.
