This is a petition to ask for T&R to present at least three viable solutions to the issues that are seen with the current home teams and put it to a league discussion and vote. T&R presented the single solution of adding a fifth home team and, obviously, the league is meeting this decision with a lot of backlash. Although this may be a logical solution to the number of bouting skaters on the home teams, the way that it was announced to the league gave the impression that this huge change was decided by a single committee made up of a small portion of our 100+ organization. We always pride ourselves with the fact that our league is skater-owned and operated because that is the foundation upon which our league was built. We do value the time and effort T&R puts into the league and, while there is no clear definition on what does and does not need a vote from the league, we feel that a decision of this magnitude does need to be discussed with the league as a whole. Because we trust T&R to be the most knowledgeable on this problem with the home teams, we trust that T&R will be able to present at least two additional real, implementable solutions to solve this problem and bring these three options, with their pros and cons, to the league to vote.
