Will T. Scott has officially announced his candidacy for governor. This fight took everything out of us but we finally reached the goal we started toward so long ago. We have the candidate we need so now the real work of managing a campaign begins.

Final supporters
The time has come in our great Commonwealth that we have a new direction. Today, our coalfields are under attack from an out-of-control federal government. Our communities are weakened from the scourge of drug addiction. Our state ranks near the bottom in education. New jobs go to other states and our economy is stagnate. Our state employees and our public school teachers are afraid as their pensions are threatened by short-sighted politicians.
We are asking that Kentucky look to the mountains of Eastern Kentucky--to Pike County--for a new brand of leader. One who is bold. One who has the vision. One who has the ability to unite all of Kentucky for the dawning of a new day of opportunity and purpose.
We, the undersigned, are asking for this new brand of leadership that can move us forward. We, the undersigned, are signing this petition to Draft Will T. Scott for Governor of Kentucky.
Judge Will T. Scott has the record of public service and service to our country as a soldier on the field of battle. This lifetime of service gives him the skills we need now to lead our state in a positive direction for all of Kentucky citizens.
Please, Judge Scott, run for Governor of Kentucky in 2015 and lead us forward.

The feedback from across the Commonwealth has been heavy but clear about this need for a change in leadership. I am currently working on getting our message directly to people who can influence Judge Scott to reconsider his position. This road is long and often frustrating but we keep pushing forward for the sake of our communities.

Reaching this point has been a long road and the weight of it all is beginning to settle in. Seeing this level of support confirms that people are finally ready for a real change in leadership. I am exhausted by the state of things but I am not stopping now.

Will T.'s entry into the governor's race would mean that Kentuckians have a real choice and an authentic choice for the kind of strong leadership that our state needs.
I have known Will T from childhood, as a matter of fact, it's hard to call him Will T because I know him as Tommy. When he is our next governor I'll call him Governor Tommy. I know his dedication to life, kentucky, bad to the people of Eastern Ky.
He is a geniune person no frills not fake the real deal and a true friend
I know that Justice Scott will make the best decision for himself in regards to seeking the office of Governor, I think his leadership is something that we in this state have been longing for, and I believe he is the best man for the job!
