Kate Craig has served as the Chair of the Washington County Democratic Party since 2017 and in 2019 was also elected to serve as the Chair of the First Congressional District for the Tennessee Democratic County Chairs Association. From 2019 to 2020 she served on the steering committee that formed the TNDP Rural Caucus.
During her tenure as Washington County Democratic Party Chair, Kate increased fundraising by 12,300 percent ($66,000) over a 4-year period. In 2018 the needle moved 12 percentage points in Washington County and in 2020 it moved 5 percentage points. In 2020, she recruited 134 volunteers to do the on-the-ground work in Washington County to turn out the vote.
Kate designed and taught a 5-day campaign training program for candidates and campaign staff. She has gotten Democrats elected to local office in Washington County.

The energy behind this is honestly overwhelming and I keep refreshing the page just to see if it is real. It feels like people are finally waking up to the fact that we can actually do things differently if we just put the right person in charge.

Yes! We need Kate! She has a plan to bring all of TN along. Not just urban blue counties.
I would love the TNDP to be led in the same manner as Kate has led the WCDP. We need a strong statewide leader to follow in Georgia’s footsteps as a proud leader of the New South.
