The Wits Gender Equity Office (GEO) & the university's Black Womxn have raised the fact that no buildings at the university are named after iconic South African Black Womxn. In this climate of radical transformation, it is imperative that we ensure that this no longer remains fact; it is imperative that we strive for equal representation at the university & to highlight the under-recognized achievements of phenomenal African womxn. About time we see some recognition for our own. Dr Malahlela deserves this honor and it would be great to walk past a building named after a real hero for once
