Dr. Slone was one of the most skillful and caring clinical educators at the Morsani College of Medicine. He made it his goal to teach us not only the knowledge needed to become a physician, but how to think and be compassionate as a true clinician should. He was a great part of my clinical education and I am saddened that the next group of students will not get to learn from such a gifted teacher.

Dr. Slone is truly a caring physician and educator. His loss from USF MCOM would be detrimental to current and future medical students. His passion for medicine is evident and I learn the most from about patient care from his doctoring sessions. We need Dr. Slone!

He has been an influential and caring educator to all students he encounters. He is a wealth of experience and knowledge -- a resource we would be quite unfortunate to not have.

Dr. Slone is an incredible educator with a great passion for teaching. He was instrumental not only in teaching students how to perform physical examinations, take histories, and practice patient-centered care but also to think like doctors. He is an enormous asset to USF COM and I feel it will be to the detriment of future classes of students if they are without the opportunity to learn from him.

My personal experience at USF Morsani COM has been directly and immeasurably enhanced by the dedicated, clear, and inspiring education of Dr. Fred Sloan. It would be a terrible disservice to incoming medical students to lose such a valuable asset to the medical education team at USF. Dr. Sloan is every bit deserving of recognition, not dismissal and in the confusion and uncertainty of the current administration changes, to lose such a cornerstone of the USF teaching core has shaken my faith in the direction of this institution. Tough choices need to be made, but taking an axe to the foundation of what makes USF MCOM great, the dedicated, passionate professors, is one of the worst solutions possible.

Dr. Slone is an asset to our school. He takes obvious interest in his students and cares for their education and well being. I would be amiss to not have Dr. Slone continue teaching while I attend USF.

I could not imagine my medical education thus far without Dr. Slone. He is one of the best clinical educators at USF MED, and I have no doubt that every medical student would greatly benefit from his continued teaching here.

One of the most passionate and caring medical educators I have ever had the chance if learning from. A very sad loss for all of USF Health and future medical classes if he were let go.

Dr. Slone is a wonderful educator and mentor. In my short time here, most of the clinical applications and knowledge I know have come from Dr. Slone.
