DeKalb Preparatory Academy is a college preparatory charter school to be located in DeKalb County and Decatur City School District, Georgia. The Academy will prepare students to excel in core subjects, develop strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and acquire an arts, humanities and technology background. The school will be tuition free, and is proposed to open in 2012 for grades K-4, adding one grade level per year up to 8th grade. By signing this petition, you attest that you are the parent of a school aged child or an interested community resident who could benefit from this opportunity, and that you support the concept for the school.
